About Our Speaker: 

Mark G. Astor is a former prosecutor, criminal defense attorney, and nationally recognized behavioral health law attorney with more than 30 years of courtroom experience. As an Assistant State Attorney in Palm Beach County, Florida, Mark prosecuted thousands of criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies and served as Chief of two County Court Divisions. He later built a successful criminal defense practice, providing him with a unique perspective on both sides of the criminal justice system.

Today, Mark is frequently called upon to provide analysis on high-profile criminal cases, trial strategy, jury selection, appeals, behavioral health law, mental illness, addiction, and public safety issues. He is the co-founder of The Mental Health & Addiction Law Firm and has represented hundreds of families facing behavioral health crises.
